What should I do to make money online apart from cryptocurrency?

Everybody knows about cryptocurrency nowadays and many people are already making money online from it, but what about the rest of us?

Cryptocurrency has created quite a buzz in the online world, so let’s take advantage of it! Here we’ll explore the most effective ways to make money online that aren’t based on cryptocurrency.

Build your personal brand

Personal branding is important for anyone looking to find success in today’s workplace. No matter where you’re working, whether that be a job with a 9-to-5 or freelance gigs, it’s essential that you market yourself effectively in order to ensure your success.

What exactly is personal branding, though? Well, it’s essentially how others perceive you and your image as an individual or business. People want someone they can rely on who is going to meet their needs while also bringing something positive into their lives.

And if there was ever an industry where building a strong brand was imperative, it would be within the cryptocurrency and investing markets; if people don’t see you as reliable and trustworthy, why would they continue doing business with you?

Try affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of my favorite ways to make extra income because it's low risk and high reward. The best part is that as a business owner, you don't need much startup capital. Affiliate marketing works by connecting potential customers with products or services.

They get paid for sending traffic your way and are likely to trust your recommendations if they think you're providing them valuable information about something they want or need. Affiliate marketing isn't limited to blogs and websites, either;

Any social media user can sign up for an affiliate account with Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and many others. Be sure to check out my training course on affiliate marketing so you have a few ideas in mind.

Get paid for creating courses

So, you want to turn your hobby into a career or are looking for a new way to supplement your income. Teaching is one of those things you probably already know how to do well.

Teaching others gives us great joy and opens opportunities for many forms of income: selling course materials, taking paid gigs on marketplace sites like Fiverr, selling monthly subscription plans, enrolling in affiliate programs with merchants that sell related products, selling services as an outsource (as explained above), getting sponsored by brands through social media influencers—the list goes on and on.

The best part is that it's scalable, so when one avenue dries up you can always pursue another. If you don't believe me just look at youtube personalities who get paid big bucks per ad based on view count!

Consider dropshipping

Dropshipping is when you list products for sale that you don’t actually own and ship them directly to your customers. Basically, a customer purchases a product directly from your store and it is shipped straight from one of your suppliers.

You can offer a highly diverse range of products through dropshipping, including books, clothing, and electronics. It’s easiest to get started with drop shipping on Amazon, where you can access millions of products with next-day delivery!

Once you’ve mastered that model, there are other marketplaces out there (with more niche offerings) such as Aliexpress or eBay if you want more variety in terms of what types of products you can sell.

Sell digital products

While cryptocurrency is on everyone’s mind, it’s not your only option for earning extra cash from home. Selling physical or digital products can be a great way to earn more cash for retirement or just for some extra spending money.

It doesn’t matter what you sell, as long as you find a market for it and offer high-quality products that customers want. Many platforms like Amazon and Etsy allow you to sell goods in your spare time as an independent seller.

Other websites like Shopify and WooCommerce let you set up an eCommerce site, so others can order directly from you.

Become a virtual assistant

If you love helping others and can't get enough of interacting with people, being a virtual assistant could be a good side business idea for you. A virtual assistant helps run different errands on behalf of another person or business, without needing any physical presence in common.

Virtual assistants are hired based on their skills or experiences, but most importantly they must have very strong computer literacy. On top of that, they need excellent communication skills and plenty of energy as they often don't physically meet with their employers face-to-face.

You can also learn how to become a virtual assistant. This job is much more than being just an errand runner!

Do freelance work on Fiverr or Upwork

If you've got a head for business, an entrepreneurial spirit and plenty of ambition, starting your own agency can be both profitable and satisfying.

It's also one of the smartest ways to make money at home without paying a dime in startup costs. (See: How To Start Your Own Home-Based Business) Just keep in mind that starting an agency can require lots of initial capital as well as hard work and research.

So you may want to consider partnering with someone who has experience if you're a beginner or tackling it alone if your skills lie elsewhere. Otherwise, follow these steps for success.

Start an agency in your niche

If you have an area of expertise and can help out other businesses, then starting your own consulting business can be a lucrative way to make extra income.

If you're interested in starting your own agency, be sure to check out AgencyHQ's guide on how to get started as a consultant here. However, keep in mind that many consultants work on a contract-by-contract basis and don't employ workers other than themselves.

Still, if you want to start a side business consulting website, it may be worth looking into AgencyHQ's services.

Conclusion

Earning extra cash isn’t just for kids anymore. Many people across all ages and walks of life turn to side hustles for a little extra spending money. The older generation is no exception, with 1 in 10 Americans over age 65 choosing to work past retirement age.

Not only does working offer you a chance to stay mentally sharp, it gives you a source of extra income. This can be particularly useful for paying off debt or creating an emergency fund, but it can also mean more freedom in your day-to-day life, allowing you greater flexibility and more time with your family and friends. But not all jobs are created equal—and some pay better than others!
